How do i fill in forms?

The ability to form fill registrations or Password fields is an exciting feature Demoxi provides. You can now spend your valuable time freely and easily surfing the web without having to repeat the process of typing the same details on multiple web sites. Read on to see how you can use Demoxi to form fill registrations.

Specifically, this feature has the benefit of:

  1. Reducing the time spent typing information into online form fields
  2. Saving time spent typing in the same repeated data on multiple forms
  3. Allowing Demoxi to remember all your Passwords as a Password Manager
  4. Ensuring the data you complete is consistently entered across those separate forms

'My Wallet' is where all your personal information is stored and encrypted within the Demoxi desktop. As shown below, it is important to note that your Wallet is also available within the web page to help you complete forms. Although ‘My Wallet’ will contain most of what you will need to fill forms, there will be attributes that you have not yet been stored in “My Wallet”. Until such time you complete these, you will have still have to type these manually into the registration forms. For this reason and for your convenience it is beneficial to maintain those attributes current in your wallet.

There will also be attributes in forms that are unable to be stored in 'My Wallet'. For instance, fields like where you will be forced to type in text, select information from a drop down list, or check a box agreeing to 'Terms and Conditions'. These will have to be completed manually. Refer examples below.

Please complete the following steps in order that Demoxi helps you fill in forms.

  1. Sign In to Demoxi. This will turn on the encryption and store all your passwords. You will always be required to login to Demoxi to receive all its benefits.
  2. Go to the new web site
  3. Select 'Join', 'Sign Up' or whatever the option is to register on that particular website.
  4. Once the page loads completely (including all images) double click on the 2 headed Demoxi Button near the toolbar at the top of the page. Refer examples below for location of the Buttons from IE and from Firefox.
  5. This will open a Demoxi Wallet in the web page. The Wallet is a replica of the information collected in the Desktop “My Wallet’ and will enable you to click and drag attributes to new online forms you are completing. Refer example below of what the Wallet looks like in the web page.
  6. Select the relevant category and then specific attribute from 'My Wallet'. Clicking and dragging that attribute to the corresponding field in the form will fill that field. The field will then be populated with what you selected. In the example below we have selected ‘Contact’ (category) and then ‘First Name' (exact attribute).
  7. When you arrive at the option of selecting a password, you now have 2 options:
    1. Typing your own password - Although Demoxi will remember your typed password, to obtain the true benefit of secure password management, it is best to let Demoxi encrypt one for you. For this refer (ii) below.
    2. Selecting a Demoxi ‘Safe Password’ – In your Wallet you will see a feature called ‘Safe Password’ under the ‘Password’ Tab. It is an encrypted hashed password combination of the website name and your Demoxi Username. It is specific for that site so that if you do visit a fraudulent website, the password will not be remembered and therefore will protect you. This is the most secure recommended option. For more information select the ‘?’ in the page. Remember the benefit is that you don't need to remember your passwords so why be tempted to make one up. At anytime you are able to view what the Safe Password by looking in the ‘Passwords’ tab of your Wallet and hover over the individual *******. Refer example below or for more information go to “How do I fill in forms?” on the Support page.
  8. It is important to note that for the particular website you are completing the form on, every time you type something in the field rather than using the Wallet click and drag function, this will be added to the content of your Wallet under the Password tab. For instance, if I were to type in my own password or type in a Username on a particular website, every time I open the Wallet on that page, the password or Username I just entered will be listed along with my other attributes. Note, however, all passwords will always be listed as ***** and never visible unless your cursor hovers over the item.
  9. Complete the remainder of your registration
  10. Next time you return to the web site Demoxi will remember your 'Username' and 'Password' and auto populate the fields. Please note you must completely leave the website and return to see the autosave feature work.
  11. Click ‘Close’ to close the screen
